Day Trip To Botswana on Safari
Within just one hours drive of Livingstone is one of Africa's best Wildlife Parks, Chobe National Park in Botswana (yes you get another stamp in your passport!) You'll be transported to the border and here you will cross the Zambezi river and head out on a morning river trip on the Chobe River, a fantastic place to view so the many diverse and amazing game animals in the area. The afternoon, will see us on a game drive in 4X4 vehicles where different animals and birdlife can be seen. On occasion our guests have even seen lion kills.... This is a day of adventure with a difference. See you there.
Your Trip To Botswana
We'll depart from Livingstone around 7.30 and transfer you to the Kazungula Border. (Don't forget to bring your passport!) Upon arrival at the border, we will stamp out of Zambia and into Botswana and in between, take the boats across the river. After all formalities have been done we are welcomed by our hosts and board the boat for our moning cruise up the Chobe River. Here we often see many hundreds of elephant (there is the highest concentration of elephants here in Chobe Park in the world) hippo, buffalo and wide array of stunning birdlife such as Carmine Bee Eaters. On board the boat you'll have drinks a d a sumptuous lunch. The river disects Botswana and Namibia and you'll have stunning views across the African savannah. Our afternoon will allow us to go on a 4 X 4 game drive to some different parts of the park and the opportunity to see other animals such as giraffe, lion and hyena. After your day we'll have you back in Livingstone by 5pm.
